Ride and Thrive
Equestrian Programs
Big Rock Ranch offers excellent trainers, beautiful facilities, a supportive atmosphere and...
...a very fun barn.
At the heart of our year-round equestrian program is the joy of riding and a love of being around horses.
That’s what every trainer teaching here shares with all riders, whether they are beginning or advanced, serious or novice, ride English or Western, are a teenager or child, want to succeed on the show circuit or simply want to ride horses for pleasure.
We give every rider instruction and guidance to make their personal interests possible.
A partnership with Makoto Farm, the Big Rock Ranch equestrian program is led by the accomplished trainer Elizabeth Reilly. Reilly and her team of instructors are excellent equestrians and thoughtful, experienced teachers. They carefully match riders with school horses and ponies that fit all skill levels.

ABOUT OUR TRAINERS
Each trainer at Big Rock Ranch has taught extensively, been professionally coached by the leading individuals in the horse industry and competed at the top level themselves.
They are led by Elizabeth Reilly of Makoto Farm. Elizabeth is as focused on making the joys of riding accessible to those at all levels as she is at training national champions.
She blends personal success as an amateur and professional rider on the “A” show circuit with academic qualifications in horsemanship. As a young adult, she attended and excelled at the college-level horse mastership program at Cherry Meadow Farm on Long Island, a program that covered all aspects of horses, riding instruction and horse care – both the practical and theoretical.
Her outstanding résumé as well as her common-sense approach to good riding are encompassed throughout the entire program.
