Specialty Summer Camps
Mountain Biking Camp, Equestrian Camp, Skateboard Camp & More!
The Low-Down on Specialty Camps
This year, Cali Camp offers seven special camps so campers can concentrate on what they are into the most: Academic Classes, Aerial Arts, Equestrian Camp, Mountain Biking Camp, Leadership, Skateboard Camp and three Sports Camps – Soccer Camp, Basketball Camp and Tennis Camp.
Campers spend half their day (that’s two and a half hours) on the specialty and the other part of the day goofing, competing in or just enjoying other activities, sportsor quiet moments with nature. In all, the summer camp season hosts about thirty different activities. Everyone gets time in the pool, daily.
Cali Camp is a Monday-Friday (9 week) day camp that runs June 17th - August 18th, 2013. Need to know the dates of specialty or other camps? Find them on our calendar!
An Outdoor Vibe to Summer School
Change your kid’s attitude to summer learning – with summer camp. Whether they are looking to catch up on work, get ahead for next year, or simply have some one-on-one tutorial time in Math, the Language Arts or Reading, CaliAcamedics is set to support.
CaliAcademics alternates three classes led by a credentialed teacher with breezy outdoor excitement – fifteen activities that range from poolside laughs to goofy games and the zipline. Sign up for a one-week, five-day session, or multiple weeks. For campers from age 6-14.
Soar in the Sky
AERIAL ARTS CAMP
Is your dream to fly? Cali Camp brings circus trapeze lessons to a sky-surrounded outdoor pavilion that’s nestled in a kid-size canyon. Here, the joyous arts of trapeze, silks and lycra as well as poi, juggling, acrobatics and hula hoop are taught by FOCUSfish. The expert team frequently partners with Los Angeles-area schools.
Campers spend their morning learning, practicing and playing aerial arts and then participate in sports and swimming, as well having nature kick-it time in afternoon.
Participate in one or all eleven, one-week/five-day sessions.
For boys or girls from 5-14.
Biking Fun? We’ve Got Canyon Terrain
MOUNTAIN BIKING CAMP
Skills, thrills, chills! Looking for summer camp fun for the mountain biking-minded? We’re once again kicking off an Extreme Mountain Biking camp. Pick up new skills, cruise trails, race and get critical—on camp grounds and in the rugged Santa Monica Mountains.
Supervised by experienced riders that are Bike freaks themselves, campers ride in the morning, then drop into other day camp activities for the afternoon: Cool it in the pool, hit a ropes course or goof a little under the Shady Oaks for a game of ping pong.
Offered during nine, one-week sessions. For ages 9 and up. Must possess better than average bike riding skills.
Leadership Training for Teens Who Think Big
LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP
You in? The CILT program requires a five (5) day registration for your first week and then in subsequent weeks you may choose from one to five days in any combination. Start any week during our 9 weeks of camp.
Skate the Half Pipe
Roll, ride, shred, skate this Cali session. There’s a skatepark built by a pro especially for CaliKids. Whether you’re dropping into the 30’ X 24’ Half Pipe, or trying out new tricks, the park is a great place to have fun and make new friends.
During each summer camp sesh, campers spend two and a half hours (a half-day) skating and learning from counselors and specialists who are skaters themselves, and the other part of the day checking out other camp sports and activities.
Nine, five-day skate sessions will be offered over the summer. Check out one: stay for as many as you want.
Five Days of Your Fave Sport
SPORTS CAMP AT SUMMER CAMP
Deep into soccer, basketball or tennis? Want five days where you really get into your favorite sport, learn different skills, make new friends and have fun? That’s what these three sports camps are all about.
At our soccer camp, basketball camp and tennis camp, kids play a specific sport for two and a half hours a day, then relax and enjoy other Cali Camp activities. To get the most from these sport-intense camps, kids must sign up for a one week Monday-Friday session.
Soccer Camp: Weeks 2, 5 & 8
Basketball Camp: Weeks 3, 6 & 9
Tennis Camp: Weeks 1, 4 & 7
A Perfect Horseback Riding Summer
Take two rings that cater to different level equestrians, horses that will be your bff for life, miles of trails in the beauty of the mountains, accommodations for shade around the barn and you have a sublime equestrian session we call Equestrian Camp.
Lessons are in English and, to make sure every rider has the best possible experience, we send home a pre-summer survey to each camper prior to camp to help determine skill levels before they put a foot in a stirrup. BTW riders must wear boots with heels and long pants. We provide helmets, but riders may bring their own if they wish.
This is a kids camp favorite, so places in this specialty camp sell fast.
