Cali’s Spirit, Fall to Spring
Delight-Full After-School Programs to Bodacious Holiday Camps
Don’t Want to End Cali When School Starts?
Cali’s playful programs include daily after-school sessions for canyon kids and...
...holiday camps that turn long school holidays into special adventure times for children throughout Los Angeles, Malibu and the San Fernando Valley.
No matter the activity, each Cali day sparks friendship, growth and wonder. Our way to support kids... and parenting.
Cali’s unique after-school experience for Topanga Elementary School kids sets them free in twenty-one acres of nature’s imagination. Ancient rocks, beautiful skies, wild creeks and open fields offer settings for outdoor activities. Rainy outside? Indoor child-spaces shelter played-out dreams of arts, dance, music, games and projects.
Inside or outside, Cali kids learn to thrive. As at our summer camp, every Cali kid is supported as they make new friends, grow confident from adventures, discover who they are and learn to celebrate the good in one another.
ACE – short for Afternoon Camp Enrichment – is split up into eight-week sessions that change up with the seasons and reflect the make-up of kids who are attending.
But each day, there’s time set aside for children to work on homework and get help with it so that it’s done before they get home.
To make ACE even more parent-friendly, Cali picks up Topanga Elementary School kids at school. Parents meet their child at ACE at 6 PM to take them home.
Boost the December school break with eleven days of Cali.
Our Winter Camp ramps up the joy with outdoor adventures, indoor arts, wonderful friendships and the confidence that comes with trying something new or excelling at something you love.
Winter camp is open on the same dates as LAUSD’s December/January break (Monday, December 17 through Friday, January 4).
Yet, all kids and teenagers ages 5-14 are welcome.
(Be careful – Winter Camp sells out fast. Register here. Limited Enrollment.)
Kids are picked up by qualified drivers and counselors at Cali bus “stations.” One each for West and East Valley campers, another for West Los Angeles kids and a fourth in Santa Monica. End of the day – campers are returned to those same convenient locations. Exact routes to be determined.
Wondering about camp hours? They’re full days – from 9:00AM to 3:30 PM – plus travel times. Routes average forty-five minutes each way. Pack your child’s lunch, and we’ll take care of tasty, healthy afternoon snacks.
Is your child hooked on aerial and trapeze arts? Want to touch the air as you fly through the sky, yourself? Take a class at Big Rock Ranch from FOCUSFish.
The acclaimed aerial arts teaching group is trusted by schools to embolden and inspire children across Los Angeles. Live in the canyon? – the aerial arts, as practiced in a stunning outdoor pavilion, are just moments away.
Through classes such as “Circus Kids”, “Aerial Tricks and Performance”, “Aerial Fitness for Adults”, “Family Circus,” FOCUSFish teachers support the aspirations of all students – teenagers, tots, kids and adults. Each session is grounded in sound physical education principles while giving flight to dreams.

Big Rock Ranch offers excellent trainers, beautiful facilities, a supportive atmosphere and...
...a very fun barn.
At the heart of our year-round equestrian program is the joy of riding and a love of being around horses.
That’s what every trainer teaching here shares with all riders, whether they are beginning or advanced, serious or novice, ride English or Western, are a teenager or child, want to succeed on the show circuit or simply want to ride horses for pleasure.
We give every rider instruction and guidance to make their personal interests possible.
A partnership with Makoto Farm, the Big Rock Ranch equestrian program is led by the accomplished trainer Elizabeth Reilly. Reilly and her team of instructors are excellent equestrians and thoughtful, experienced teachers. They carefully match riders with school horses and ponies that fit all skill levels.
